About

🏰 Historical Prestige & Setting

  • Founded in 1906 under the patronage of King Leopold II, developed on the historic Ravenstein Manor Farm—with roots dating to the 15th century under Philip the Good.

  • King Leopold II planted the same conifer species here as in his nearby Tervuren arboretum, giving the course its signature diverse tree palette.

⛳ Courses & Design

  • Arboretum (“Old”) Course – 18 holes, Par 72, approx. 6,045 m from championship tees.

    • Originally designed by Seymour Dunn (1905), refined by Tom Simpson (1928), and revamped by Martin Hawtree (1990).

    • Gentle undulating parkland with mature trees, flowering rhododendrons, tight fairways and strategic greens.

  • Parc (“New”) Course – 9 holes, Par 32, ~1,923 m; created in 1951 by Philip Mackenzie Ross.

🏆 Legacy & Recognition

  • Remains one of Belgium’s top private clubs and ranked 4th in Belgium, 72nd in Continental Europe.

  • Hosted 1961 European Amateur Team Championship; also staged the Belgian Open multiple times (1910–1978).

  • Holds club course records: 63 (amateurs & pros), with Eduardo de la Riva’s 64 in the Challenge Tour 2012.

🏌️ Play Experience

  • A demanding course requiring precision over length—tight tree-lined fairways and subtle greens.

  • Flowering rhododendrons and varied tree species enhance its parkland beauty.
